In these 3 weeks together, I will help you go from feeling triggered and anxious every time your friend has a beautiful, speedy vaginal birth.

To feeling a huge sense of relief and closure with your own birth, so that you can say congratulations and truly mean it. As well as helping you find the confidence to dive head first into your next birth without looking back 😘

Your Holistic Birth Debrief includes the following:

💜 2x sessions just you and me (Sam), via Zoom or in person in my beautiful, calming studio in Manchester.

💬 WhatsApp support with me for 3 weeks, from your first session.

👯‍♀️ Access to my Facebook group of likeminded mums that have been on a similar journey to you (it can be so healing to talk to people who just ‘get it’.)

💰 Save £125 on my ‘Birth After…’ course as you’ll have already done the first module.

What to expect from each session…

  • Share your story and feel heard - 90mins

    Time and space to talk through your birth story (as much or as little as you like), while I listen without judgement.

    Then I’ll guide you through a reframing exercise to find any old, negative thought patterns and then help you craft your own NEW and improved thought patterns to replace these.

    We’ll finish with a 20min guided relaxation. This will ground you and help affirm these new thought patterns. I’ll record this and send you a copy after your session. So you can check back in if you need a reminder of this new version you 💜

  • Rewind and process your memory of birth - 60mins

    All you need to do is listen and rest, while I gently and calmly guide you through a journey to (safely) re access your memory of birth, so YOU can process it and change how it’s stored in your brain. This is the part that gives you a feeling of resolve, helping your memory to feel distant and even peaceful ✨

  • Moving Forward - WhatsApp

    We’ll integrate the work that you’ve done over the past 2 sessions and reaffirm your new ‘I can do absolutely anything and I’m so proud of myself’ thought patterns so that you can start to rebuild your confidence and trust in yourself as a mum and a woman.

    I’ll check in with you via WhatsApp and send you your final hypnotherapy relaxation track.

My Healing Journey

I’m Sam a mum of two beautiful babies, Raife 5 and Aria 3.
I’m also a graphic designer, a birth worker and an advocate for better maternal mental health.

5 years ago I left the postnatal ward with my baby snuggled in his car seat, immaculately dressed in his ‘coming home’ outfit. While I shuffled behind them hanging my head in shame, feeling like an utter failure as a mum, and a woman.

I spent the next 6-12 months trying to figure out where it all went wrong, why my body didn’t work and what I could’ve done differently.

I felt so much shame after not being able to push my baby out of my body by myself. That was the one thing all women ‘should’ be able to do, right?

So why not me?

In the middle of the night I’d lie awake feeding him, whilst replaying every step of my birth over and over again in my head trying to make sense of it all.

I definitely went the long way round to heal from my birth experience.
But, I finally learnt that it was possible to accept my birth for what it was and even feel proud of myself for everything I overcame.

And with a lot of hard work, time and learning I finally accepted that my body is smart, strong and SO powerful and that I am and always have been an incredible mum 💪✨

As well as my personal experience, I’ve worked with hundreds of women during pregnancy and postpartum navigate their unique journey’s into parenthood.

I’m also qualified in trauma informed listening and birth debrief facilitation, as well as Hypnobirthing and 3 Step Rewind*.

*3 Step Rewind is a proven method of trauma release and reframing work using NLP and Hypnotherapy techniques. The 3 Step Rewind process works to shift discomfort and symptoms of a difficult birth by activating your brain’s own healing mechanisms 🧠

Where is the session held?

At Creative Calm Studio in Prestwich, North Manchester. So excited to have snagged this cosy venue for the night.

What should I wear?

Please wear whatever you like 😊
We’ll be lying down and moving / stretching out a bit so something you are comfortable in, but there’s obviously paint involved so nothing too fancy.

What’s mindfulness?

If you’ve not done anything like this before, I assure you it’ll be so relaxing. All you need to do is come with an open mind and listen as I guide you through the rest.

Is it only for mums?

This event has been designed for mums and I would love to save the limited spaces for mums. But the session would have so many benefits for everyone tbh so if you are really called to join but aren’t a mum then please email me sam@thewonderhood.co.uk and I’ll let you know if we have any spaces left.
